Just witnessed a shadowed youth cruise by on his long board on the dark sidewalk below. It’s about 1:46 am, and here he comes bobbing and weaving through imaginary patrons. Man, I wish I was that ballsy. Then again, I love walking around at night. Given that it’s warm out. Cold walks are for my angst.

Anywho, I spent my first birthday away from my family but found myself in the welcoming arms of my peers. Kaitlin gifted me a Totoro satchel, Lauren an offering of Vanilla Coke and Chewy Jollyrancher candies, then a dinner a la TGI Fridays.

Of course, I was mortified when the entire restaurant erupted in an ambush of rushed clapping. An ice cream dessert was slammed before me, and the torture began. Happy happy birthday! Happy birthday! Happy happy birthday- so on and so forth.

All in all, twas a grand occasion even if I did spend it in the safety of my secluded palms.

I also took pictures of Kaitlin and Lauren for my first ever street style blog article, and I hope my editor thinks it’s alright. I’ve never had a real writing job before, and suddenly, I have two. Let’s just say, I’m a little behind on professional protocol. All my employers probably imagine I’d retreat in fright at the first correction.

We’ll see when that comes around. Going home tomorrow for a proper family celebration!
